BIOGRAPHY Biz Oliver got her start performing
quite regularly in some of Montreal's well established jazz and blues venues,
like Upstairs Jazz Bar and Grill, and Smoke Meat Pete Restaurant, where
she has lead the regular Friday blues jam, with her trio. She has also appeared
at numerous Quebec folk and blues coffeehouses, concerts and festivals,
performing songs she has recorded here in Montreal, and from her critically
acclaimed debut c.d., Soul Secrets, which was recorded in Grand Beach, Manitoba.
Recently back from studying and recording with blues piano legend, Irwin
Helfer in Chicago, Biz will be appearing again with her trio in August. |
